Since February 28, 2026, the government of the United States and its ally Israel have unleashed an asymmetric military offensive against the people of Iran and other sectors of the region. This bombing campaign, which has already claimed thousands of lives in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Iraq, does not aim to protect the lives or sovereignty of the attacked peoples, but to secure strategic control of a key area for the world market.
Our organizations agree that this aggression is the continuation of a policy of harassment that dates back to the 1978-79 revolution, when the working class and the people of Iran managed to expel foreign powers from their territory. Today, pro-interventionist media use the internal repression of the Ayatollahs’ regime as a pretext to try to justify this attack. However, we categorically denounce that these genuine struggles for liberation are being cynically instrumentalized by Western powers as a moral mask for their geopolitical interests.
We reject the alarmist rhetoric regarding the alleged nuclear weapons program, recognizing it as a calculated pretext — reminiscent of the lies used in Iraq — to justify sanctions and a military escalation that only serve to strangle the people. This does not exempt us from being critical and repudiating the tyranny of the Ayatollahs’ regime without placing any trust in its political leadership; at the same time, we are categorical in standing on the side of the triumph of the Iranian people’s resistance against external aggression.
The underlying plan is concrete: it seeks to secure control of Iran’s oil resources to bolster global hegemony and expand the strategic influence of the United States and Israel throughout the Middle East. This control of energy is the material base necessary to preserve power and finance the apparatus that sustains domination over the working class in other parts of the world. Faced with this scenario, we express our agreement that international solidarity is our most powerful tool. We join in an urgent call for mass mobilization and direct action by workers to stop this massacre.
In the United States, we demand the immediate cessation of attacks and bombings on Iranian territory, calling on the working class to paralyze production and the shipment of war supplies. Internationally, we demand that our governments immediately break diplomatic relations with the State of Israel and end any strategic cooperation with this aggression. We must unite in labor actions and logistical boycotts that strike at the war machine, providing practical and political support to the workers of Iran and the entire region in their struggle against foreign intervention.
Finally, we invite all workers and combative sectors to our international public meeting on April 4, 2026. For more information on how to participate in this gathering and coordinate our solidarity response, please contact any of the signing organizations.
